Kimo Bacon has had a successful career in aviation. He currently serves as the program manager for Sikorsky Aerospace Services Maintenance Division's Contractor Logistics Support program for the UH-72A Light Utility Helicopter program. Formerly an Army aviator, Kimo retired as a colonel. Prior to joining Sikorsky, he was stationed in Balad, Iraq, where he was the Deputy Chief for Readiness of the Army Aviation and Missile Command’s Theater Aviation Single Manager for Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Kimo graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Hawai‘i, and a master of arts in education from Pepperdine University. He is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff and the Armed Forces Management Colleges.

He is a member of the Army Aviation Association of America, the Association of the United States Army, the Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association East Coast Chapter, and the University of Hawai‘i National Capitol Region Alumni Association. During his career, he has been selected as the Association of the United States Army Small Chapter of the Year Commander (2000 and 2001), received the National Guard Association of the United States Meritorious Service Award (1986), and been a member of the Army Aviation Association of America’s Industry Partner Team (2005). In addition to his Army career, Kimo has also served as a paid or volunteer firefighter and fire rescue pilot in the Honolulu, Rodeo Hercules (California), and Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Departments (Virginia).
