Bill Villa served as the Regional Director for Individual Assurance Company for 20 years. In that role he led the sales and administrative development and growth of the company’s life insurance business throughout Micronesia and Hawaii. The regional office grew from a one person operation in Hawaii to a staff of 30 that included offices on Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, each of the 4 states of the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

In 1993, Bill changed careers and was named the first Director of Athletics at ASSETS School. During his 9 years with the school he was tasked with building the interscholastic, intramural, and physical education programs at the school. In 2002, Villa was hired as Director of Athletics at Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu, where he led an interscholastic program with more than 850 participants and 80 teams playing in 21 different sports. After 6 years he was offered an opportunity in 2008 to move on to the intercollegiate level of athletic administration and continues to serve as the Director of Athletics at Chaminade University.

Bill is a 1971 graduate of Kamehameha Schools at Kapalama and has a bachelor’s of science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. In 1992 he earned his Certified Athletic Administrator designation from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. He has also previously coached basketball, baseball and soccer and served a 3 year term as president of the Board of Interscholastic League of Honolulu Athletic Directors (BADILH).

Bill resides in Kailua with his wife, Renae (Sanborn). They have three sons, Kahi, Kawika, and Kaipo and 7 grandchildren.
